November, 2022: Pacific Lasertec has completed its acquisition of Voltex, Inc., a Colorado-based manufacturer of high voltage power supplies for lasers and related applications. Voltex will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, with
ongoing design and manufacturing activities in Colorado Springs, CO.
According to Lynn Strickland, President & CEO of Pacific Lasertec “since its founding in 1993, Voltex has provided high voltage power supplies for a range of applications, but most notably for the operation of Helium Neon lasers. As the first laser technology to see commercial success, there continues to be a very solid demand for HeNe lasers due to their ultra-narrow spectral line-width, outstanding beam quality, long operating lifetimes, and value price points. Strickland continues “many of our customers anticipate ongoing platform sales and support for the next 10 years or more, in applications such as interferometry, wavelength measurement and spectroscopy.”
Pacific Lasertec, founded in 2018, has quickly rocketed to a market leadership position, with shipments approaching 1,500 units per month. The addition of its own power supply manufacturing capability uniquely positions the company for long-term consistency in supply.
January, 2022: Pacific Lasertec finishes 2021 Q4 with Revenue 44% above Plan, and + 60% on a like-for-like basis versus the prior year. This represents the twelfth consecutive record quarter, with annual revenue growth percentages well into the double-digits for the third consecutive year. Lynn Strickland, President & CEO commented "Market response to Pacific Lasertec has been fantastic. We value our customers tremendously and thank every one of them - large or small - for their patronage. None of this would be possible, however, without our loyal and dedicated employees, who go above and beyond the call of duty every day." Strickland continued "Our international channel partners also deserve praise for their diligence and hard work throughout these challenging times."
November, 2021: To improve the ease with which its customers can attain regulatory certification for end-products, Pacific Lasertec Laser Heads and Laboratory power supplies now carry the cTUVus mark from TUV Rheinland. Certifications include IEC 6082501:2014 and IEC 61010:2001+A1. Most OEM power supplies are NRTL Certified to IEC 62368-1 and self-certified to EN 61326-1. CB documents are available upon request, or can be downloaded directly from the TUV website.
July, 2021: Capping a record 2021 first-half, Pacific Lasertec has received a purchase order from an industry-leading analytical instrumentation manufacturer, representing more than half of their total consumption. Deliveries are planned throughout the balance of 2021, with follow-on orders anticipated later this year for the 2022 demand. Lynn Strickland, President & CEO commented "We appreciate the confidence our customers place in our team and our organization, and we will absolutely deliver the highest-performance products, on-time and at a high-value price point."
March, 2021: Pacific Lasertec has commissioned a new, 1500 square-foot (140 square meter) Engineering lab at its San Marcos, California facility. Outfitted with optical tables, laminar flow benches and full laser test capability & tooling, the company's Engineering programs will now have a dedicated space for this important work. Lynn Strickland, President & CEO states "We are happy to have this newly dedicated space, both in support our current laser development programs and for some very interesting innovative products for the future." The space is configured for easy conversion to an ESD-controlled / clean-room space, with the necessary flooring, ceiling, gowning areas and other necessary infrastructure already in present.
February, 2021: For its 2020 fiscal year, Pacific Lasertec delivered Revenue and EBIT significantly in excess of forecast for its second consecutive year.
